A highly durable and breathable jacket constructed with fabric that resists penetration by water. The jacket features a center front opening with wind protection flap, a collar with cover for an enclosed collapsible hood, raglan sleeves and two front pockets. Army Universal Camouflage in color. US GEN-III LEVEL-5 ソフトシェル・ジャケット

新型米陸軍ECWCS(Extended Cold Weather Clothing System)は第三世代(ジェネレーション3)と呼ばれ、トップスは7種類のレイヤー、ボトムスは5種類のトラウザーを重ね着することで、様々な気候やシチュエーションに対応する。
レベル5と呼ばれるソフトシェル・ジャケットは耐水性の高い素材を使用しているが、軽量、柔軟で着易いレイヤーで、襟に収納されるフードや脇の下のジッパー・ベンチレーションなど機能的にも充実している。
